At Bar & Batter, every dessert is handcrafted to order in accordance with Maryland Cottage Food Laws. Because all items are custom-made, perishable, and produced specifically for each customer, our refund, return, and cancellation policies reflect these regulations and practical limitations.

1. All Sales Are Final

Due to the perishable and made-to-order nature of our products, all sales are final.
We do not offer:

  • Refunds

  • Returns

  • Exchanges

  • Store credit

Once your order is confirmed and production has begun, it cannot be canceled.

2. Order Accuracy & Customer Responsibilities

Please review your order carefully before submission.
Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate contact and delivery information

  • Choosing the correct bundle size and product quantities

We cannot provide refunds for mistakes made during order submission.

3. Shipping & Delivery Limitations

Bar & Batter may ship or deliver within Maryland only, as required by Maryland Cottage Food Law.

Because we rely on third-party carriers, we cannot guarantee delivery times.
For this reason:

  • Delays caused by carriers, weather, or transit issues are not eligible for refunds

  • Products damaged due to heat, cold, or carrier handling are not eligible for refunds

All shipping estimates are approximate and cannot be guaranteed.

4. Allergies & Food Sensitivities

All items are made in a single kitchen that handles wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, soy, and other common allergens.

While we take care in handling ingredients, we cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination.

For this reason, we cannot offer refunds for reactions or issues related to:

  • Allergies

  • Sensitivities

  • Dietary restrictions

Customers should use discretion when placing their order.

5. Order Issues & Quality Concerns

If there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your product.

We will review concerns on a case-by-case basis and may request:

  • Photos

  • Order numbers

  • Details about the issue

While refunds or replacements are not guaranteed, we will always strive to ensure a positive customer experience within the boundaries of cottage food law.
